Hardfault

Overview

Hardfault is an error that can occur on the Flowbox. It can an hardware or software issue which leads to an abnormal behiour of the Flowbox.

When a hardfault occurs, the Flowbox will be rebooted and the hardfault will be uploaded to the platform. The file will be stored in the given object storage bucket and an email will be sent to the support team of the platform with a link to the zone for which the hardfault occured.

What to do when a hardfault occurs?

Once the hardfault is uploaded to the platform, get the file in the given object storage bucket and send it to the Flowbox Support Team for further analysis.

Flowbox Support Team will use the hardfault.py file from the Flowbox Firmware project to analyse the hardfault. Depending on the issue found, they may provide a fix or replace the Flowbox.
